Drinks Made With Vodka

Drinks made with vodka is taking the whole world of drinks in storm. It has captured so many taste buds that everyone entering a bar can be seen drinking vodka, and if not, they are out of style. Vodka is a distilled spirit made from grains or potatoes. It originated in Eastern Europe, but is now made all over the world.

With the addition of Martini and Cocktail Culture, Vodka is more popular than ever. In fact, Vodka enjoys the discitntion as the most popular spirit. Indeed vodka had already been one of the most sought out types of liquors.

Drinkers have taken to Vodka for it's mixability and smooth nuetral taste. Vodka's popularity has lead to a proliferation of new flavors and brands and different liquor shots recipes. These days, one can find Vodkas in a wide variety of flavors from blueberry to vanilla.

There can be a huge difference in price from Vodka to Vodka. Sometimes it's marketing, but mostly, you get what you pay for. If your Vodka comes in a plastic bottle, it will taste that way. The good new is that there are alot of quality moderately priced vodkas on the market.

Firefly Distillery in South Carolina has managed to stand out in the crowded world of flavored vodkas with a uniquely Southern take on vodka. Its Sweet Tea and Muscadine Wine flavored vodkas are "sippin' vodkas" that also work well for simple cocktails like a mixed drinks vodka tonic.

To give you a taste of what's in the top list of liquors - vodka. Here's a Firefly concoction I made up that you can prepare for hot Southern nights.
The Sweet Thang
2 oz. Firefly Sweet Tea vodka
3 oz. sparkling lemon drink (like San Pellegrino Limonata)
1/2 oz. runny honey
Fill a glass with ice and pour the vodka and lemon drink into it then drizzle in the honey. Garnish with a lemon wedge or honey stick.
